Documentary

In 2014 and 2016, I had the opportunity to create a photo reportage in Madagascar for the humanitarian association called NutriAid. During my assignment, I focused on capturing photographs of people, particularly children and mothers. My goal was to document their daily lives and convey the challenges they face. The aim of this project was to create a calendar featuring my pictures taken in Madagascar, with the hope of raising awareness and funds for NutriAid's mission to combat malnutrition in the country.


This experience creating the photo reportage in Madagascar for NutriAid was truly transformative, both personally and professionally. Living and experiencing the daily life of the Malagasy people was a deeply enriching experience that broadened my horizons and deepened my understanding of the challenges they face. It was a privilege to be able to document their lives through my photographs.

Ri.Circola


I have collaborated with Ri.Circola, a promising startup in the sustainability sector where I also hold a partnership position. Some time ago, I had the opportunity to capture a powerful photo series that documented a climate change protest in Barcelona. These compelling images have been published on Ri.Circola's website.


JAPAN

What can I say about my trip to Japan? Words may not fully capture it, but it’s a place I wholeheartedly recommend experiencing with an open heart. Let the culture envelop you and listen to what this magical place offers.

One phrase that stood out to me was “arigato gozaimasu,” used to express gratitude and respect. Its sincerity and power reflect the values deeply embedded in Japanese culture.

A particularly striking moment was witnessing a young boy on a train. As the train was about to depart, he noticed a lady had forgotten her umbrella. He ran out to return it, nearly missing the train himself. When he returned, people thanked him with “arigato gozaimasu.” His act of kindness and the gratitude he received touched my soul and made me realise how much we can learn from such selflessness.

This respect for others stems from a profound love for oneself, evident in their personal cleanliness, serene homes, and numerous temples symbolising peace and spiritual reconnection. Their food is always delicious and healthy, reflecting a balance of self-care and deep values.

The most important lesson I learnt from Japan is their calmness, flexibility, harmony, and elegance. Even in chaos, they remain composed, as light and fluid as the leaves and streams that define their landscape.

Japan, thank you. My soul has always felt connected to you, and now that bond is even stronger.
